Two girls who desire to start their own eco club did some research about microplastics. Here is their presentation, and it is quite impressive!

What are Microplastics?
マイクロプラスチックとは
Microplastics are small plastic pieces less than 5 mm long which can be harmful to the environment especially to the ocean and aquatice life.
マイクロプラスチックとは５mm以下のプラスチック片で、特に海洋生態系に悪影響を与えることが大きな問題になっています。
Why Microplastics?
活動のきっかけ
It was at a beach cleanup event held by OIST (Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology) when the girls heard about microplastics and their negative impacts to the aquatic life for the first time.

From there, they started a personal research about the issue, and shared what they learned to their friends at JIMBUNAS.

沖縄科学技術大学院大学（OIST）のエコクラブが主催するビーチクリーンでマイクロプラスチックと環境に与える影響を知った二人。
その後自分たちでリサーチを行い、学んだ内容をお友達にプレゼンする事が出来ました！
現在はマイクロプラスチックを集めてアクセサリーを作るプロジェクトを計画中の二人。これからの活動が楽しみです！
